I strongly believe that Good Health begins with Good Food; it should be delicious, nutritious and make you feel so good, you glow.
I guess you could call me a foodie. Growing up I watched both my mum and baka (grandma) cook up a storm in the kitchen; they always had home cooked meals on the table and I definitely have them to thank for my love of cooking. However, I grew very fond of baking and it still holds a sweet spot in my heart. In fact, when I was younger I decided that I wanted to be a cake decorator… can we all please take one moment to visualise the amount of sugar that would be involved! But in all seriousness, I find baking particularly therapeutic and the perfect outlet to express my creativity. Although I no longer reach for white flour, refined sugar and blocks of butter, I do love to healthify classic recipes to make them more nutrient dense.
I created this space to share my passions, in the hope of inspiring others to lead a healthier wholesome life. I believe that life should be full of goodness; a healthy lifestyle shouldn’t be a chore, or something you feel as though you ‘have’ to do. It should be about creating healthy and sustainable habits that make you feel so good, you GLOW!
Personally, I feel my best when I incorporate as many whole-plant foods into my diet as possible. This means lots of veggies, fruits, nuts + seeds, legumes + beans, whole grains, free-range eggs and lean proteins. I am by no means a health nazi, but I do try to limit dairy and gluten. In saying that, I do listen to my body and you should too; you know it will thank you for it later.
